One of the core values of the labor movement is democracy.  We vote to form a union. We vote to approve contracts. We vote to elect our leaders.
AFT-MI conventions take place every two years. AFT Michigan 79th Convention will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Huntington Place in downtown Detroit(1 Washington Blvd).
